Best Powerlifting Knee Sleeves

best powerlifting knee sleeves

Powerlifting knee sleeves are one piece of gear I highly recommend every lifter invest in. Although they don’t add much (if any) to your squat numbers, they do provide warmth, support, stabilization and compression for your knees, which can prevent injury and relieve pain that many of us experience while squatting.

Which Powerlifting Knee Sleeve is Best?

There are several great knee sleeves for powerlifting including: Rehband, SBD, Nordic, and Stoic. While you generally can’t go wrong with any of these brands, you will find that prices and fit/feel will vary from sleeve to sleeve.

Rehband Knee Sleeves

The most popular and widely known knee sleeve out there is Rehband. These are popular among weightlifters and powerlifters alike. You cannot go wrong with Rehbands in my opinion. The only con is they are around $80 for a pair. If you have the money to spare, and you want a high quality powerlifting knee sleeve that is easy to put on and take off, Rehbands are likely your best bet.

SBD Knee Sleeves

SBD makes the best powerlifting knee sleeve in my opinion. Their sleeves are slightly longer than other brands and offer more compression. There are a couple of cons though. First: they are quite difficult to get on and take off. Second: they are one of the most expensive sleeves out there at $82. If neither of those cons bother you, this is the knee sleeve for you.

Nordic Lifting Knee Sleeves

Nordic makes a great pair of knee sleeves at half the cost of Rehband and SBD. They provide similar compression as Rehband and are of similar quality. This is a great option for beginners or anyone looking to save some cash.

Stoic Knee Sleeves

These are a great mid-range knee sleeve for those that don’t want to spend a lot, but don’t want to buy the cheapest pair out there. These are comparable to SBD, but are slightly lower quality and about $12 cheaper.

So Which Knee Sleeve is Best for Powerlifting?

There are a lot of different brands out there, but SBD takes the cake. These sleeves provide the best compression and stability and they are IPF approved, meaning you can compete in basically any federation without having to worry about them being legal or not.
